Dr. Vijaya Krishnan conducts Lamaze classes for would-be-mothers on Natural Childbirth, Breathing, Managing Pain during pregnancy and labor (e.g. back pain), specific techniques on breathing and relaxation during labor, exercises and comfort positions to make labor progress easier, breastfeeding, and neo-natal care for the baby and post-partum care for the new mother.

Dr. Vijaya Krishnan is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE). The LCCE certification is awarded by Lamaze International, the world's leading organization that promotes, supports and protects natural childbirth. She has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, is a board-certified clinical specialist and has worked in Women's Health area for 14 years in the US. Dr. Vijaya also provides labor support during childbirth, and helps new moms deal with the experience of caring for their baby during the crucial first days.

Healthy Mother programs include "Return to Fitness" classes that help new moms strengthen and tone hip, thigh and leg muscles in order to return to fitness in the most natural and appropriate manner.

Family / spouse involvement is encouraged during the sessions. The courses use visuals and practical aids to give participants a complete understanding of the childbirth process and provides scientific information and tools to empower would-be mothers to become confident and knowledgeable.

The Healthy Mother program facilitates mother-to-mother interactions among participants for sharing experiences, information and concerns and ensures physical and psychological well being of mother-to-be throughout their pregnancy and after.

Healthy Mother programs are conducted on a regular basis at four centers in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Following is the schedule for our next batch:
