Aditya Sarovar Premiere

The scary part about Hyderabad's IT landscape is not that several innocuous hamlets have been razed by urban building blocks - it is the fact that the "picture abhi baaki hai". But in any case, premium hotels like Aditya Sarovar Premiere are prepared.

Located on the Kondapur-Gachibowli stretch, it competes with virtually nothing in its immediate neighbourhood. However, a little away, the lavish Westin Hyderabad (right in the Raheja IT Park) and Ista (in Nanakramguda) offer the options.

Aditya Sarovar Premiere is basically for the kinds of companies that are in the location, and that have the money to splurge on employees, clients, conferences, team-building events, the works.

The interiors are elegant, and don't intimidate you in the way that the Tajs do. You are first welcomed into a spacious lobby - high ceiling and all - that looks more like the home of a movie star than a vast 5-star hotel. Pastel colours and subtle design create an atmosphere of relaxed comfort. The staff is courteous, and the pleasant tinkling of a piano forms the soundtrack of your experience here.

Every one of the 203 wi-fi-enabled rooms comes with a mini-bar, a tea/coffee maker, and executive working business facilities.

The rooms are of 2 types - one a basic room, and the other an executive suite. As in April 2012, the basic rooms, are priced at Rs. 5,600 plus taxes (single occupancy) and Rs. 6,000 plus taxes (double occupancy). The executive suites are priced at Rs. 8,000 plus taxes. The taxes aren't something to gloss over in the luxury hospitality industry, by the way.

If you're hungry (and rich), there's an all-day restaurant called Cascade, a Chinese restaurant called The Oriental Blossom, a poolside grill, and a lounge bar called Zyng.

Cascade serves a buffet (priced at least at Rs. 650 plus taxes), and also has a menu that features Indian, Continental and Asian food. The poolside grill is an open-air setup that serves Indian and international barbeques. And you can work out at the health club as well.

Business can be conducted at the business centre and 3 meeting rooms. In addition, there is a banqueting space spread over 2 floors, with 5 halls offering variable spaces for gatherings of upto 200.

In all, Aditya Sarovar Premiere gets its basics and its frills right, and isn't likely to disappoint the business traveller in this part of town. We, for sure, were charmed.
