Falak

Falak is one of the many, fly-by-night, cheap accessories shops - except that its location is what is suprising. You would expect to find something like this in the Old City, so when you run into this place almost bang opposite the GVK One mall, it warrants a second look.

Not that there is too much to look at in this 800 square foot shop that sells accessories (read earrings and neckwear mostly) sourced from Bombay and Rajasthan. The prices are definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel, and the goods are in tandem. Earrings priced between Rs. 25 and Rs. 200, plastic-coated, 100 count colored safety-pins for Rs. 60, and such like are the wares on display.

Falak is then mostly a place for college kids, who will get what they can pay for - wearable, short-lived, time-pass accessories. Hardly the place to actively go to for a shopping spree, but could stand a browse if you happen to be in the area.
