You've heard us rave about this restaurant's thalis and Gujju food, but there's a whole other side to Indian Harvest that draws the foodies like a magnet all through the summer months. It's called the Fresh Strawberry Ice-Cream, and nobody does it like IH.
While the restaurant has a small selection of hand-churned ice-creams, it's their Strawberry that people love the best. Every bite contains the juiciest slices of strawberry, and two scoops of this stuff is exactly what the doctor ordered on a long hot afternoon. Or a sweet cool evening. Or any other time of day, really.
Of the other ice-creams, the best are the Chickoo and Mango. The Strawberry Crunch is a poor substitute to the real deal. The downside to the original treat is that you won't always find it at the restaurant. Fresh Strawberry is usually served between the months of January and May, and even during this time it gets sold out pretty often.
Another great refresher is the IH aam-ka-panna, available almost throughout the year, and made from raw mango and spices. You'll feel instantly refreshed after a sip of the delightful drink. Even their buttermilk, or chaas, has the same effect.
So now you know where to go when the summer's being particularly unkind.
