The store is a dimly lit one with an old-world Nizamesque feel to it, what with all the portraits of the regal rulers of this princely city.

Krsala deals exclusively with the girls' best friends, diamonds and diamonds only. Cut, uncut, whichever way you want them, they have 'em. Of course, all these can be meticulously embedded in ear rings, bracelets, bangles and exquisite rings - all encrusted with precious and semi-precious stones like emeralds, tourmalines, pearls, topaz, and so on. The uncut diamonds cost Rs. 50,000, while the cut versions are priced at Rs. 75,000, and the brilliant sets can be all yours for Rs. 1,50,000.

Diamond jewellery aside, Krsala has a collection of Jadau jewellery and Kundan jewellery - ethnic jewellery that adorned the kings and queens of the Mughal era. Kundan jewellery starts at Rs. 15,000. The Jadau range is a rare signature line by home-bred couturier Sunita Kapoor priced at about the same as the Kundan version.

Krsala is a class act for an antique jewellery store, the designs are alluring, the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. It also also a gemologist on board. But, it has a price. That said, diamonds don't come in cheap, do they? Neither does antique jewellery.
