Pedaller's Point

Pedaller's Point snucks up somewhere between the scores of pee-wee stores that clog the Somajiguda area opposite to Yashoda hospital. And the inside ends where it starts. Good ol' tale of a pint-sized fitness joint, that calls itself Pedaller's Point.

Satires aside, the store has a decent enough range of treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, one-of-a-kind massagers, dumbbells, gym balls, sports gear and toys. I fell flat for the one massager I'd like to call Shakira, as the owner didn't seem to know the name of the equipment, and it shakes the entire body. I took a demo, which was as relaxing as it was euphoric. All you need to do is stand on the pedal-like mount of the massager and hold the handles, and it will take you for the ride of your day if not life.

Indeed, it's easy to feel enamored by this piece of apparatus as nowhere else do you find anything like it (at least I did not). At Rs. 16,500, it is one of the better bargains the store has.

The rest of the store is drab times ten. The treadmills start from Rs. 45,000 and go up to Rs. 2 lakhs, and it's the same with most of the regular home equipment like exercise bikes, ellipticals and home gyms. I was startled this store also had toy motorized cars for kids starting at Rs. 15,000.

Pedaller's Point needs to pedal harder if it is to become a premier fitness seller. As of now, it's just an average Joe.
