The Scene
If you're a staunch supporter of the there's-no-such-thing-as-cheap-and-best philosophy, then allow Baker's Inn to change your mind. For the absolute best in all things baked and beautiful, you can't do any better than this most popular of Amrutha Mall's attractions, No. 1 with shoppers, couples and college students.
The Food
The cheese tart deserves special mention (and maybe even a Nobel Prize). It's just the perfect combination of doughy bread with a warm spiced cheese filling, and only at Rs. 7. Other delectables on the baker's tray include Chicken 65 Bun, which is awful to look at but quite yum to eat, Chilly Paneer Bun, Chicken Tart, and Vegetable Roll.
BI is best known for its Black Forest and Chocolate Cakes. Hot pastries are the Chocolate Truffle, Pineapple and Chocolate Gateau. The Apple Pie is generally avoidable, but the Chocolate Mousse isn't half bad.
The Verdict
Too few seats. It's difficult to enjoy your food when forlorn bystanders stare at your table longingly. But very few places offer such good value for your paisa; being on a shoestring budget has never been this rewarding.
