The Scene
Quite good, actually. While a single room hosting a Subway, a Deli 9 and a
Movenpick might awaken the dormant claustrophobe in you, this is more of an outdoorsy than an indoorsy place. Thanks to the peace of the location that can almost be filed under interior Jubilee Hills, it's inviting to sit outside with whatever sin you've bought yourself. And the 10 wooden benches outside with resident hookahs make the proposition more compelling (it costs to send up smoke, of course - Rs. 150 for 45 minutes).
The babe and hunk factor is high at Rhapsody. So, sometimes, is the Tollywood factor - especially the younger crowd, featuring among others Allu Arjun who hangs out here rather often. The inner enclosure has 9 tables, including a couple of plush sofa sets to spread yourself about.
The Food
If you need an introduction to Subway, well, you really do, so
get yourself one. They're basically bloated sandwiches, twice as big and 10 times as expensive. A typical sub costs Rs. 90 - Rs. 140 for a 6-inch preparation and Rs. 150 - Rs. 220 for a footlong piece, and has 4-5 fillings in white or brown bread, including cheese, garden-fresh vegetables, jalapenos, olives and the specific flavors you ordered for.
The Subway counter at Rhapsody lasts 10 feet, practically elbowing out a docile
Deli 9 to its right. Fortunately, the place isn't too crowded, so you can usually get your favorite sub in as long as they need to make it. Plus, of course, the other Subway extensions including cookies (Rs. 20 each), salads (Rs. 100 - Rs. 180), mini-subs (Rs. 45 - Rs. 90), cappuccinos (Rs. 25) and iced teas (Rs. 40).
The Verdict
Well, if you are going to fatten yourself, you might as well do it in some serenity. Okay, now don't reflect upon that line - it just sounded good, so we typed it. But if you have company that can make you reflect upon better things, this is a good place to do it. Just remember to wipe the goo off your mouth after every chomp. These subs are crazy.
