Waves

You will be greeted by a watchman in full regalia bearing an air of joviality that your appearance woould have been insufficient , in itself, to account for. Waves has its own rules about appearances. From the neatly swept small parking lot to the shining floors of the interior rooms, everything speaks of cheeriness and high spirits. You can expect to be greeted by a charming receptionist at a well appointed porch cum foyer.

Waves is almost entirely hosted in the upper portion of a bunglow, with teaching rooms far removed from your idea of the regular classrooms. The place is overflown with toys, colorful paintings and a horde of things-to-do stuff for the kids. There are computers, games, stuffed toys, and before you become further alarmed, books too. Waves firmly believes in teaching but not strictly by the book. The teachers adopt innovative and interesting teaching methods making use of the audio-visual aids. Most of the learning is by doing, seeing and experiencing.

With a registration fee of Rs 10,000, you can start off your child on a healthy route to a comprehensive development. The school requires you to pay a quaterly amount of Rs. 3,000 in addition to the registration fee. It also provides daily commuter service in selected areas, depending upon the spread of the enrolment. At present there is only one batch of students studying in class Ist, but the management plans to start the 2nd Std. before the next session.

The school does not believe in restricting your child in charecterless uniform, but in building strong, individual personality. For this, it maintains a complete informal and creative environment so that the child learns to use his mental and motor skills for problem-solving. For all those who believe that carrot 'n' stick days are over, Waves is a good experiment.
