Idly resting somewhere in the desolate and quiet neighbourhood behind the
Secunderabad Club is the tiny, sleepy hotel Club View. The name is self-explanatory, and the hotel tag is a misnomer as it is more of a motel with its facade, size, and location. It has no parking lot, but maybe that's them being smart - what traveller to Hyderabad would come in a car?
A portion of this hotel is still under renovation as we write this in March 2008, which means it's going to get better in a couple of months. The rooms are small and cozily painted, with a sleek panel TV, 2 queen-sized beds and a bath (the bathrooms are however painfully miniscule). There's no attached restaurant, but the hotel has room service courtesy of the inhouse kitchen. There's no business center here or Wi-Fi in the rooms, only an Internet-ready PC in the lobby which you can avail yourself of.
Club View is ideal for 1-nighters looking to make a pitstop some place affordable and homely, especially since it's just a few blocks from the Jubilee Bus Station.
