Petite and friendly Kavita Golechha offers Kathak and folk dance classes at her chic Banjara Hills residence. Her interiors are almost as impressive as her ability to handle a number of students of varying ages, abilities and temperaments. A chic ambience, lively lessons and sufficient individual attention are the hallmarks of Golechha's classes.
Slots of one hour each are allotted between 11am and 3pm on weekdays (excluding Fridays) to senior students and adults. Classes for children, however, are conducted between 4:30pm and 6:30pm over weekends.
Golechha also offers coaching for diplomas, and degrees in dance. In July 2005, 15 of her students appeared for a written examination in Kathak. Several students have even secured a Masters Degree in Dance under her tutelage.
