Big Bazaar Supercentre (Ameerpet)
Devyani Srivastava / fullhyd.com
If you have ever dropped by a Big Bazaar, a Pantaloon Group venture, you know it has always been, well, big. In terms of the sheer size of its sprawling outlets (this one has a generously-sized underground parking lot too), with respect to the quantity of stocks lining up its shelves and containers, in keeping with the growing profit this brand generates.

Now, the Pantaloon Group is thinking bigger. Which in actuality translates into the Big Daddy of Big Bazaar - the Big Bazaar Supercentres. There are reportedly only six such Supercentres in India, and only one in Hyderabad. And it works precisely as you are guessing right now - it is more of the usual Big Bazaar fare, with additional trimmings.

For the uninitiated, the "usual fare" includes branded, bulk displays of crockery, utensils, plastics, cosmetics, footwear, clothes for men, women and children, linen, accessories, fruits and vegetables, electronics and what-have-you, all available at slashed prices, or tagged with offers such as 'buy one, get one free' - hurrah for the middle-class masses again!

Of course, the attractive discounts are undercut by a real eyesore here - a filthy, artificial grass rug sits tackily at the center of the ground floor; it can even be spotted from the glass elevators running through this mammoth, 4-storey structure.

Nonetheless, this budget shopper's paradise is packed wall-to-wall with all the aforementioned paraphernalia (customers, too - mostly women) and further enhanced with a health zone (complete with a modestly-sized 'Tulsi' pharmacy), a beauty zone (more cosmetics, more brands), even an opticals section. There is also a fairly large jewelry store on the ground floor, 'Navaras' (it has also opened a showroom at Big Bazaar, Abids), tagged "your jewellery store". And then there is the furniture wing on ground zero where seemingly good quality furniture is created in-house and sold at prices that are competitive, though not cheap.

Clearly, you can now buy a bedsheet, a bed, some underwear, shaving cream, soft toys, a dozen apples and a mangal-sutra all under the same well-lit roof, during a single - albeit very strange - shopping spree.

My name is Chandrashekar S from Begumpet. I have submitted my application form for T24 on June 5 with my Driving License and on June 8 resubmitted the form with a passport size photo and Address proof. When I called T24 staff, they told me that they have lost my application form and wanted me to resubmit it again. Even they went to the extent of not giving their name and when I wanted to talk with the manager I was told he is on leave today. How come that the customers are cheated in this way so thoroughly by your staff by telling ALL LIES one after the other.
My phone number is +91 90323 55696.

No one is giving respect for customers and no will take care of customers --- they are doing stupid -- some one gives answers rashly -- U will give offers just like payback but no items will be there , daily we have to come & go - no one is responsible

Though Bib bazaar is doing gud with its wide range ogf products, but its service management is very bad esp in Big bazaar ameerpet branch. The sales supervisor doesnt have courtesy to talk to customers at all, instead he has humiliated a girl(customer) right in the mid of public for a mistake caused by theirsales representative

Pros: gud range of products
Cons: Service and the manner customer are treated is WORST

You need to tell well ahead that you have got a parking ticket to reimburse. You need to tell well ahead that you have got food coupons. Once billing is done none of the above will be acceptable. You need to stand in a separate queue for any free items associated iwth a produt. Surprising the reason they say is "this is a big market, we don't put free items at the counter". For them reliance fresh, more, magna are all small stores so they can have all these facilities. Such a foolish answer!!

Pros: Good sales and reasonably good quality
Cons: Billing people are not taught how to talk to customers
