When we talk about Regal Sports, we talk history, we talk passion, we talk Hyderabadi pride. Regal Sports has been every one of them, for over 40 years. And still, it continues to sit with unshakeable nonchalance in the midst of M G Road, wearing the history easily on another normal business day.
M G Road, like any local knows, is where Secunderabad's action-packed businesses, both small and leviathan, set up home ever since the birth of this princely city.
Cherma's,
Bulchand,
Universal Bakery,
Kathiawar Stores,
Ramesh Watch Company,
Kamal Watches and so on, all tell the same story - one of success, merit, passion and humility, and of standing the test of times even in an era where brand names run amok, and strutting them is the unequivocal order of the day. Much like its kissing cousins, Regal grew as the town grew, standing firm, never aging, making history its own story, for 48 years.
The store is a small but worthy seller of a medley of a zillion sports goods and equipment - marquee brands like Stiga, Yonex, Adidas, Wilson, Dunlop, SG, Kookaburra, Gunn & Moore and Puma meant for different kinds of sports like the omnipresent cricket, badminton, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, soccer and basketball, apart from some fitness wares like the weights and dumbbells. All priced reasonably. A veritable alter ego of this successful store would be Sachdev Sports located in the same area. And for both the fitness frenzied and the fighting fit, Regal opened a new fitness-centric boutique called Regal Fitness near
Anand theater on S P Road.
All in all, Regal's a simple yet no-nonsense sports-gear store that's been here eons, and is doing it with even more zeal. For folks looking for all things sports-related, this is Mecca.
