No one knows how the name of the store is actually pronounced, but everyone's been here, and everyone's been shopping here for over a couple of decades now. But then, as the saying goes, a rose, by any other name, is a rose. And well,
Cherma's, by any other phoenetic variation, is Cherma's. Period.
This is a place where the family goes to buy stuff. By the dozens. Among the more economical places to shop at, the store targets the middle-income customer. Its in-house denims and shirts brand, Kaizja's, is something almost every Hyderabadi has owned, at least briefly.
Cherma's stocks clothes for children, men and women. It neatly arranges its wares according to age group, and it is a good idea to take a few clothes to the trial room at one time, for they don't free up too quickly.
Cherma's also houses elementary sporting accessories like swimwear, jerseys and tracks. Then, it retails brands like Peter England, Pepe and Lee among others. It may seem crowded and stuffed, but that's its USP, really. It adds to the atmosphere, somehow. There are salwar suits, skirts etc. as well.
On the ground level is a cafeteria that serves food that is quite yummy, made yummier by the price listed on the menu. Sastha Aur Tikaoo, that about sums up the cafeteria and the clothing store.
