Of all the high-profile eating joints that crowd Road No. 1, Banjara Hills, this one is the easiest to miss. Sarvi's is tucked away into a little corner, and you wouldn't know it was there if you didn't see the huddle of vehicles outside.
This is a very popular joint and of all the others you'll find best value for your money here at Sarvi's. What is a really pleasant surprise about the place is the variety of eats you'll find, some of which are even better than at the biggies like
Baker's Inn or
Country Oven.
This cafe-style place is very good for sandwiches and burgers. The Grilled Chicken is quite a big portion, and is stuffed with the freshest veggies smothered in cheese. Even the plain old Cheese Toasted Sandwich is excellent, and quite a good deal at only Rs. 15, given the portion-size.
A Chicken Super Burger, with fries, will cost you Rs. 28, and its vegetarian version only Rs. 20. These are both popular options. Among the other snacks, people enjoy the Chicken Croissant (Rs. 15), the Mushroom Puff (Rs. 7) and cheese-laden Veg. Dizzy Dog. The Frankie Rolls here are perpetually sold-out. The pizzas are also decent, and the Veg Supreme, with extra cheese, is highly recommended.
Desserts don't disappoint either, and the Swiss Pie is especially good. None of the desserts is too sweet, and popular choices include the Chocolate Tart and the mammoth German Black Forest Pastry. Sarvi's also has some good cookies, and the Macaroons are most loved. Keep away from the Sugar-Free Cookies though, they're tasteless.
This is a nice place to sit at, but it gets too crowded during peak hours, and you can barely manage a conversation in peace. Most people prefer to take away, and the breads section here is a sell-out - especially the Brown Bread, Garlic Bread and Dinner Rolls.
Of all the grub-hubs in the area, Sarvi's does the most good for your stomach with the least harm to your pocket.
