Woody Corner stocks only imported Durian furniture and fixins. And it lives up to its upmarket location with the appropriate details: discrete lighting, attractive interiors and smiling salespeople who will indulge your every whim, if you look like you're going to buy.
The collection at Woody Corner is good, if not extensive. Furniture for the home and office is available in wood, wrought-iron, steel, glass, leather and upholstered fabric. Most products here are designed in a knock-down form, so they can be reassembled at the customer's house. Apart from the furniture, there are some fancy show-stoppers like an onyx-topped dining table with an onyx base, beautiful, delicate china and crystal, and vases of glass flowers. You'll also find grandfather clocks here for around Rs. 45,000.
Despite the somewhat limited range, this pricey store deserves a going over if you're in the market for not-too-adventurous but durable furniture.
