Ameerpet, in all its din and bustle, still morphs pretty fast, with businesses coming to life everyday and in every form. One such newbie is Tanisha - work on this 4-floor value hotel is still ongoing as we write this in March 2008.
Located right in the epicenter of the chaos - on the Punjagutta-Ameerpet-S R Nagar road a little ahead of Cherma's - the hotel appears rather reticent in the midst of all the hubble, and is easy to miss if you don't keep an eye out. If you do (miss it, that is), it's a hell of a drive back thanks to the long divider, and your driver would have to be exceptionally law-abiding to fight the temptation of driving in the wrong direction.
The lobby is spacious, and doubles up as a lounge with the chic black leather sofas and settees. The rooms are moderately furnished, with the suites being the exception. Filling the two-room suites are leather sofas with tables, a flatscreen TV, a minibar, a normal bathroom with basic fittings, and a kingsize doublebed.
The non-suite rooms are a tad congested - which is understandable for an Ameerpet budget hotel - and are furnished with queen-size beds, marble flooring, tables, chairs, phones, TVs and clean bathrooms, and have a view of the anarchic Ameerpet traffic. For the famished, there's a good and inexpensive multi-cuisine restaurant attached to satiate their hunger.
Tanisha is barely 3 months old as we write this. It's an above-average budget hotel that's easy on your pocket and has basic amenities, and trying to be judgemental at this stage would be harsh.
