Situated in Banjara Hills, Crazy Collections is a small, rundown library in the business of lending dilapidated books for a piddly fee. Its customer base? Not the average adult. It seems to be for the pimply teen or for the raging hormonal adolescent at most.
The books of note that I saw here were the Nancy Drew and the Mary Higgins Clark series. There are a few more recent books, but believe me, this is not the place to go first for that just released Harry Potter novel. There are also Archie comics - if you can piece one whole comic together that is.
Their specialization? Mills & Boon books for all those diehard romantics out there. Hmm... from Archie to erotica, all available in a place that isn't even the size of a pantry. Prepare to get surprised if you think it stops there. They also have a few cassettes here and there, though mostly of Telugu or Hindi music.
The fees are... you guessed it, dirt cheap. Rs. 300 for a lifetime membership (Rs. 275 refundable), plus daily charges from Re. 1 to Rs. 4 for the borrowing period, depending upon the book that is borrowed.
Basically? If you're in the mood for reading some mediocre books in mediocre condition, go nuts in Crazy Collections.
