Any trip to M G Road-if it involves crossing roads-should come with a statutory warning about the incessant traffic. At the face of it, it might appear pretty negotiable, but trust me, when you're standing on the inches wide road divider for what seems like hours, with RTC buses, bursting at the seams with people, passing so close on either side that you could touch them if you stretched your fingers, it's anything but easy. Inevitably, the question that comes to your mind is, is it worth it?

Well, if you want to buy a Pokemon or Nemo watch for some kid you know, it probably is. The Hallmark store, in fact, is full of a variety of "gift" items that cover a range of tastes (and wallet sizes). Watches for everyone and not just for children, long-stemmed wine goblets, ceramic showpieces (yes, those lovey-dovey pigeons are there too... I just wonder if anybody wants them), posters, stuffed toys, perfumes... you'd even get a Ganesha idol if you want, decorated in gold and silver. Then, of course, there is the safest bet with gifts-windchimes. They can be found in all colors and sizes, and are available in most animal forms-cats, dolphins, birds...

To complement this, there is a whole range of Hallmark greeting cards, for almost every occasion you can think of. It's surely worth a trip if you have to gift someone something but can't seem to come up with a good idea. Just that if you're walking-and you might be, because they don't have parking-make sure you're on the right side of the road.
