If you think the only racket around is the one you play with, and 'love' is just no score in tennis, then Planet Sports is your thing. Part of a chain of stores that's opened all over the city, this one is here to cater to your every sporting desire, and it does it well too.
Planet Sports at the MPM complex in Abids is a well-designed store, with an exceedingly good range of wares to offer. They have everything from tennis rackets to golf sets and sports shoes, and even some badminton gear thrown in. Apparel from Nike and Reebok makes up the rest of the display.
The selection of rackets is truly impressive, and would satisfy any tennis enthusiast. The shoes and apparel, on the other hand, are there as diminutive and mute spectators, not adding to the store's charm at all. Not much variety in that department for sure.
Planet Sports tries to be a one-stop-shop for all your sporting needs, and does a passably good job at it. It is a pity then that there is still no talk about the world's favorite sport being introduced... yet.
