This neatly kept and minutely dusted shop defies its name - there is no trace of any stampeding, or worse, walking around. Perhaps it's the prices, or the location, which keep the crowds away. Or maybe the staff is extremely well-versed in the art of removing all clues of people's visit. Stampede, though scintillating in its glass and color displays, wears a vacant look even far into the evenings.

The shoes on display do not present a large variety. In fact, Stampede stocks only one other brand in addition to its own - Raw Hide, which is a collection of leather shoes starting at Rs. 695. A shelf is dedicated to high heels, flats, slippers, and laced and sequined shoes, all in gray, and priced between Rs. 695 and Rs. 1,695. Similarly, a pink theme adorns the shelf next to it, with matching designs and prices.

Other colored, and black and white slippers are priced at Rs. 695, high heel shoes at Rs. 995, bead work slippers and shoes at Rs. 850, sequin-work sandals at Rs. 850, and high heel sandals at Rs. 950. At Stampede you can actually pay in proportion to the size of the heel that you desire.

This exclusive shop strives to bring a whole new world to a women's feet. What it does to the man's pocket is anybody's guess.
