Unique Books is a veritable gold mine. About 99 percent of the books here are second-hand. However, this does nothing to the quality of the reading material available. You have everything from fiction to the medical sciences, from books on architecture to the eternally famous bodybuilding book by Arnold. This place has it all, and then some.
The fiction collection in this place is as impressive as is the collection of classics - some of them still in their original hardbound covers. Even though the books here are second-hand, they are in surprisingly good condition. Not much to go décor-wise, this place has a couple of rooms that house a rough segregation of the various genres.
There are the various magazines, which are a little old though, ranging from interior design to pet-care. You have the option of asking the people who run this place, to get any book or mag that they don't have, and they do it with heartening promptness. It's very hard to classify the books here in any specific order, since they are all clubbed together mish-mash. They do, however, have books on advertising, management, photography, religion, science, arts and cooking.
Now for the best part. The prices are unbelievably low. You can get a paperback in a-little-less-than-mint condition for a maximum of a hundred bucks! Slimmer paperbacks come for an absurd sixty bucks. The hardbounds are a little expensive, but then expensive is a very relative term in this place. You can actually go ape here and nobody would care, because they're used to it, and will probably just hand you a banana.
So if you love a good read and enjoy a good bargain, Unique is the place for you.
