Gallery Space

The folks at Gallery Space were so committed to living up to their name, they shifted quarters from their smaller basement studio to one that is bigger and better. You figure, more space = more art. You figure right. Gallery Space now offers 2,000 sq. ft. of gallery space, and deals in contemporary paintings, drawings, graphic prints and sculptures. And situated near the romantic Lotus Pond, it promises a nice evening or afternoon out.

Gallery Space deals primarily in contemporary art, and well-known artists like Somnath Hore, Subhas Roy, Jatin Dass, Tumikuntam and Surya Prakash have shown at the gallery. Some rather beautiful paintings adorn the wall here; one blue and white semi-nude female figure retails for Rs. 1,25,000. Amazing how much people will pay for semi-nude female figures. The gallery sponsors artists as well as buys out paintings and advertises regulary regarding exhibits, so make your fortune in the semi-nude genre!
