Hotel Dwaraka Paradise is a small hotel located in the Dwaraka Complex, which also houses bigger and better hotels. The reception is small but manned by an efficient staff. The manager's room is claustrophobic, but fortunately Dwaraka Paradise has ample rooms encouraging you to breathe as much as you can - in dearth of furniture, air is the only commodity which is readily available.
Spread over 5 floors, the accommodation consists of 68 rooms, including A/C deluxe double rooms priced at Rs. 750, A/C double rooms at Rs. 700 (slightly less spacious than the previous), and A/C 3 bedrooms at Rs. 900. In the non-A/C section, Delux 4- and 3- bed rooms are available at Rs. 850 and Rs. 750 respectively, and double rooms at Rs. 550.
There is no restaurant, but food is available at hand through the presence of the Dwaraka Meals (very good South-Indian meals for Rs. 28) and the Dwaraka Tiffins centers located in the same complex. The room service is restricted to on-the-spot cash payments, and its availability is dependent on the will of the staff.
And yes, despite appearances, Dwaraka Paradise does some business. Most of it has to do with the location - it is right in the middle of town, and is a good bargain for its price.
