Hotel Rukmini Riviera is part of the Dwaraka group and is located at the busy junction of Lakdi-ka-Pul, where eager cinema-goers and busy shoppers indefatigably hustle and bustle. The caravansary at its doorstep is surprisingly forgotten when you step into the neat and plush reception. Immediately, you are reminded of the potency of money.
The cream-and-white reception area is lined with well-polished furniture and a neat entrance leading to the rooms. At Riviera, you can retire into one of its 44 plush rooms, or get your basic needs satiated at one of its restaurants. The rooms are well-equipped and taken care of by an efficient house-keeping department.
Depending upon your pocket, or on your convictions, you can get grub at Raaga, its multi-cuisine restaurant and bar, or taste a South-Indian thali and take a sip from a Bournvita cup at Bansuri, its vegetarian restaurant. Bansuri is open from 6am to 11pm, and here you get your food served on a banana leaf. Raaga can seat around 40 people, and is tastefully lighted and dressed, but you cannot bet on quick or even hygienic service. In addition to the above, there is Dwaraka Tiffins, which is a 24-hour affair providing snacks, and Dwaraka Meals, where you can get thali lunches and dinners.
Rukmini Riviera also boasts of two banquet halls, Purushottam which has a 105-person capacity, and the Mathura Gokula Banquet Hall, which can seat around 20. Both the halls are provided with conference aids, and are available at Rs. 2,000.
Though not exactly a den of splendor, Rukmini Riveira promises to make your stay comfortable, if not memorable. And adding that to the fact that it is situated smack in the middle of town, makes it a very good deal for your hard-earned.
