Indo-British Academy (Fashion School)

I have been living in the lane next to that in which this institute is located, and I have never noticed it earlier. That leads to three conclusions:

1. I am too self-involved
2. The 'dhamaka' sale, on the ground floor, of the plastic stuff is too distracting, or
3. Some mysterious power has sworn this place to secrecy

I leave the judgment to you.

In all these years, the management of Indo-British Academy has managed to erase the word progress from its dictionary. The place is as stagnant as Bollywood movies, along with the furniture and peeling wallpaper, when we visited it in 2003.

The management shares its ideologies with the new galli to galli junior colleges of Hyderabad: though co-educational, we have separate buildings and canteens for girls and guys. So they provide women with different time slots, and a female lecturer, too. I think it is an apt rule in a place where every second guy will drool over anything female.

The 'whole' institute is one big hall with many divisions for faculty members, other working staff and students. You would suddenly wonder if you are a true pessimist when you make out the number of mistakes in the work that is attractively displayed on the notice board.

The only question I have to ask is: How did they manage to run this place for so long?
