From
Charminar to Cyber Towers, and from pearls to nano-technology, Hyderabad has judiciously blended tradition and technology. The balance is evident in its over 300 engineering colleges, as in its
Kalamkari paintings and artifacts. What is tipping the balance in favor of newer horizons is the new generation of entrepreneurs, die-hard and dead-sure of their objectives.
HITEX, Hyderabad International Trade Exposition Ltd., is the newest star on the block, propelling the city into the league of world class anchors for exhibitions and trade fairs. Located strategically, at the most happening part of Hyderabad, Madhapur (near Cyber Towers), the center promises to open up exciting business opportunities in the global arena. India's most modern exhibition venue, it spreads over an awesome 100 acres.
The Center has been designed to enhance functionality and flexibility to those who make use of its resources. It provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for organizers of international exhibitions, conventions, trade shows and corporate events. Conceptualized by leading German architects, HITEX provides a world-class platform to international businesspersons, and serves as a one-stop resource for them.
The HITEX entrance plaza has registration booths, ticket counters and information kiosks for hassle-free entry in case of a large turnout of visitors, as well as to facilitate able administration. The 3 air-cooled exhibition halls, each 3,500 sq m (37,660 sq ft) in area, are columnlessly fortified by a 10.5m high ceiling and heavy-duty flooring with a loading capacity of 50 KN/sq m that can withstand display and demonstration of heavy machinery. The halls are self-sufficient with amenities such as power, water, telecommunications, compressed air and restrooms, including separate ones for the physically challenged.
The wide service area along these halls aids quick and easy movement of exhibits and equipment in and out of the halls. An open display area spreads over 32,825 sq m (353,197 sq ft) supplementing the indoor display. HITEX also provides adequate space for storage, within the exhibition halls.
The Trade Fair Office building consists of meeting rooms, the organizer's office, a VIP lounge and a media center, and also houses services including a business center, a restaurant, a travel and forex center, a bank ATM, car rentals, a florist and a photo studio. There are also plans to provide for permanent offices of international exhibition organizers, and exhibition service providers like the clearing & forwarding agents and the stand contractors.
In addition to the above, there are plans of building 5 more exhibition halls, another restaurant, a conference building and several service blocks. And all this without stealing space from the open car park which currently accommodates around 1,200 cars.
The HITEX center is loudly proclaiming the arrival of Hyderabad on level ground with the best in the world, which currently is Singapore.
