Qahwa Coffee Shop

While most coffee shops are American in flavour, this one's picked another part of the globe to focus on, that's famous for its brews. Qahwa lives up its Arabica tag by placing a hookah by the door and a hot coffee called Cafe Arabica in the menu. It's a different matter that this coffee is Italian in origin, and that the rest of the menu is pretty much the same as everywhere else, but it's the thought.

Qahwa enjoys a great locational advantage and that the other enterprises within its compound are more popular might only be because people would rather sit outside by the rocks than inside a dimly lit coffee shop. Their range of cold coffees and slushes do well, and the selection of Cuban cigars they stock is often sold out. The only coffee shop that sells smokes, Qahwa stocks the famous Romeo-Juliet brand of cigars, which are very popular.

In hot coffees, the Cafe Arabica is a rather rich, dark and slightly bitter half-cup blend, which is quite good, as is the Caramel Machiato, a caramel-flavored black coffee. If you like it cold, try the Qahwa Delight, which redeems its cold-coffee-chocolate-fudge blend with a topping of low-fat cream. A mix of orange and coffee, the Mocha Valencia is a good bet, as is the White Chocolate Mocha.

Slushes like the Blue Curacao and the Indian - orange+ice+lime - are good to go with the Chicken Caesar, Paneer Tikka or Russian Salad Sandwiches. You'll also find a decent version of Barista's Chocolate Excess pastry here.

Qahwa is not as swank as other joints but if you don't mind taking your coffee outside, this is a good spot to hang out for a while.
