The first to react to the insurgence of the multiplex complex, Venkataramana revamped and reappeared as Venkataramana Megaplex. But this Megaplex has mega problems when it comes to parking. Specifically, for 4-wheelers.
Once you've taken care of that, rest assured, you've finished the difficult part. Or have you. If you happen to buy tickets for the balcony, your chances of reaching the entrance to that class before the interval are very slim. After that also they're slim, but you don't care - you've given up by then.
After you manage to go through all the complicated pathways, the hall you reach is worth the trip. Not too petite, not too obese, the perfectly sized hall is supplemented well with spacious seats. They're very comfortable, and the couple seats are placed strategically, right in the dark corners of the hall. There might be a feeling of underwhelming claustrophobia in either corners of the hall below the balcony, though, where it overlooks the seats under it.
The air-conditioning and the sound system are pretty good. The premises are very clean, too, but the best part about the place is the popcorn on offer. You get some really irresistible popcorn in masala, cheese and other hot flavors.
The theater usually screens the latest Hindi movies, and half the crowd is from the surrounding colleges like
Badruka.
En fin, Venkataramana, except for the parking bit, is a fantastic venue to watch your favorite film.
