A V College

AV stands for Andhra Vidyalaya. This comes as big news for even some of the students that study there. But the keyword there is some. Most of them, however, are blokes that attend lectures and do something with their lives.

AV gives great opportunities to these individuals. Sports are given immense importance. In fact most of the state level players study in this college. The college makes an exception in their cases when needed. Even the cultural front is fairly happening. Most importantly, though, the faculty here is rated as one of the best in the city - both for commerce as well as for the sciences. The labs and the library are definitely among the top in the city.

AV is also very active in student politics. Student organizations like ABVP usually have their main personnel from here.

AV is a half-funded college. It means that students are generally provided standard education at a reasonable tuition fee. Unlike other colleges, AV only demands what it really needs.

The parking lot here is the hangout for the guys. Students from the vocational courses (morning session) are seen lurking around here more than the others. Don't jump to conclusions, these guys are some of the best all-round talents in the college.
