Apart from screening B-grade films with an A certificate, Sushma also showcases a range of 'conventional' Telugu flicks once in a while (actually, whenever the reels for these latest blockbusters are available).
The theater campus is huge, with capacious parking space for cars, 2-wheelers and autos. The interiors, though, are not too attractive. The only artistic element of the theater has been contributed by the audience themselves - the glaring stains of salival residue and cigarette butts strewn all over do leave you spellbound. If the A/C goes off and you start sweating, don't bother to complain, there might not be anyone except the audience to hear you.
Interestingly, this hall has been conferred the prestigious "No Full House" award by the Body Of Struggling Theater Owners Of Hyderabad. You can walk in just before the interval and slump into any of the vacant chairs and rest assured that the handful of audience won't bother you (for the young couples: Sanjeevaiah
, Indira Park
and Necklace Road
are too crowded, try Sushma). The last time there was a housefull show was when the owner invited his relatives over for a movie!
