Blue King Bar

A little birdie told me that such places are called speed bars. The little birdie was probably drunk on gutter water. Now why exactly are they called that? The legend goes that one day some dude wanted a drink in a real hurry. So he drank like real quick and left the bar. So the bartender came up with the idea of serving liquor on the go. Which does not mean that you get your beer in a plastic cup with a lid. It just means that it isn't exactly a place to sit in at leisure.

Now this made a lot of sense in the old days. Anyway, Blue King is more like an Irani café, with a door, liquor instead of tea, and snacks instead of biscuits. Located on the main road, it doesn't really have a lot to offer in terms of comfort or side bar entertainment. Meaning, the chairs aren't exactly rear-end friendly, and the only singing is from the shifty character sitting behind you and his twin. The little birdie thinks I should stop writing now.
