Zam Zam Bakery

The Scene
Crowded, noisy and grimy, Zam Zam has come a long, sad way from its earlier place of pride as one of the city's most popular bakeries. Now it reels under the pollution of the Paradise junction, and listlessly serves whatever loyal customers still visit resisting temptation from the huge Persis Bakery across the road.

The Food
Zam Zam is still remembered for its biscuits - of the Osmania, Chand and Naankatai kind. Apart from this, they serve regular bakery items like puffs etc., as well as fruit juices outside the bakery.

The Verdict
There is no seating arrangement, and people either stand at the tables around the bakery or get their food packed. Still remembered as a landmark by many old Hyderabadis, Zam Zam stays around, but only as a ghost of its former self. A renovation would be exactly what the doctor ordered.
