The Scene
While it's highly debatable why or how the restaurant was christened Carrots (perhaps since Chutney, Chilly, Tadka, Degh and other flavored names were already taken up), you soon realize that the staff must actually live on carrots. How else do they manage to keep returning to your table for repeat orders and other calls, unless they have rabbit eyes to navigate in the dim and hazy lighting? Indeed, pin lights which point focused at your eyes reverse the very effect of coziness and warmth desired by the architect.

The place is almost overcome by the enormous fish tank with a rather tasty selection of tenants in it. Once your irises are able to adjust the desired pupil size, you'll also notice that the tables are more than clear, the waiters courteous, and the service brisk and prompt.

The Food
For non-starters, all the better as they can shift directly to the delicious Paneer Pasanda, which is paneer sauté¥¤ in lehsun and creamy narial milk, and take a pick from the variety of veg and non-veg sizzlers available on the menu. And if up to now you were bemoaning the absence of limelight and were afraid of dwindling into the oblivion behind the massive tables, the arrival of your Vegetable Mushroom Sizzler will put an end to all such fears. The sizzling crackling of your vegetables not only guarantees that the other diners get a chance to look in your direction, but also makes you shudder that they might break into applause at any moment.

Carrots offers a diverse and eclectic cuisine, including Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Mughlai. Dessert could be anything ranging from a sundae to Khubani Ka Meetha, and you can also have your say after sampling the choice of cocktails served by the staff.

The Verdict
In addition to the dim lights, the overpriced menu and the impossible-to-get-up-from sofas, Carrots has something extra to offer - average taste, and a proximity to TDS, Lifestyle, Urban Tadka, Stampede, Music World...
