Expectedly, this McDonald's outlet at
City Center Mall is a clone of all the other McDonald's out there; the corporate colors of red and yellow have been liberally splashed over the walls, the clown is parked on a bench outside, the same steel-and-wood chair and table sets are laid out over a spacious two levels while clean windows yawn wide. The place overlooks Road No. 1 and Road No. 10 Banjara Hills, located at the cusp that unionizes the two.
The food is good ol' McDonald's; no great shakes. Except that their milkshakes, especially the sinful chocolate one, are as lip-smackingly great as ever. As are the famous French Fries, the compact Chicken McGrill, those utterly creamy, divine creations they call soft serves... allright, we have now floated back to Earth.
Some practical advice before you wander into this outlet - avoid lunch-hour; there are far too many white-collars spilling in from the offices lining Road No. 10 and beyond, all arriving famished and leaving with a sugar high. The queue is perhaps longer in the evenings - to avoid getting the wrong food and drink, and make sure you order loudly and clearly as the ordering terminus is noisy and mobbed. Or choose to skip the crowds altogether and drop by in the mornings for a coffee fix. At Rs. 25 a cuppa, the cappuccino is not bad.
