Sudarshan 70mm is an ordinary theater. So ordinary in fact that it's very ordinariness is extraordinary. In the "fullhyd.com Overly Illustrated Dictionary", FOID for short, Sudarshan sits bang under the definition of
ho hum.
Thanks to some divine backing
Devi stands right behind it Sudarshan 70mm is always ready and willing to take on any Telugu movie, and live to tell the tale. It has all the customary bells and whistles, and then some. Comfy seats, sound all around, cramped toilets et al. If you are one of those who feel cinema viewing without an accompanying pain in the neck violates the law of nature, never fear. The 10 rupee seats have been ergonomically designed to give exactly that effect.
And to top it all off, nothing could be more ordinary than its selection of movies. They have the usual Telugu fare, new releases usually given an open run.
Of course, the theater owners have worked hard to maintain their 'ordinary' status. An FOID illustration is not something to deride. It takes hard work and dedication. Whether it is the patently hard-to-find ticket counter, or the even-harder-to-find entrance to the theater, it's all been exquisitely planned with the end result in mind.
Still seriously unmoved by the cinema hall? Man, are you hard to please! Well, they have a bar within the theater compound. Maybe a beer or two would prepare you better than this review for the Sudarshan experience. Cheers.
