Before any of the boys could say it, we heard the comments from the girls. Villa Marie is a co-ed college. But it's only during the non-working hours and in the parking lot that we get to see the boys. But heck, come to think of it, that's the case in every college.
One of the more popular girls' colleges in town with St. Francis and St. Ann's, Villa Marie at Somajiguda is also one of the more sought-after institutes of Hyderabad. Established in 1991, it offers three levels of education Inter, Degree and Post-Graduate courses. The girls over here take their courses as seriously as they take their fashion sense. Commerce, accounts and all that boogey-talk could never become as big a hit as the latest Preity Zinta hairstyle. A library may be as fab as you want it to, but it's always second to the canteen. And a classroom is never as crowded as the parking lot. But doesnt this happen in every college?
The computer labs are equipped with "state-of-the-art" P3 systems. The library is complete with a computerized database. There is a seminar hall that can seat around 80 people. And attendance in classrooms is a prerequisite to write the exams. Before you find all this usual, savor one last factoid. Have you ever seen 45 boys being beaten up by cops and put behind bars for loafing around in your college?
