Established in 1996 with a view to catering to Telugu movie audiences in and around Jeedimetla, Bhujanga 70mm also has the distinction of being hi-tech in more ways than one.
Firstly, the loos are clean, as in incredibly spick and span. Well, if the loos are that clean, you can imagine the seats. Impressively cushioned and shaped, the chairs do provide you the comfort of sitting back and enjoying the fare as it is meant to be seen. What's more, even the A/C runs for the entire duration of the show unlike at other theaters in Hyderabad where the A/Cs only make a guest appearance, and that too only when the hall is full.
Telugu films dominate the proceedings at Bhujanga round the year. There have been one or two exceptional instances where a Hindi movie was screened. The result - no audiences from the third day of release. From then on, Bhujanga has committed itself to screening only the latest Telugu films.
Abundant space for parking, fresh snacks, friendly black-ticketeers, and, on the whole, a soothing cinematic experience summarize this local neighbourhood cinema hall.
