Odeon 70mm (RTC X Roads)

Odeon is absolutely a classy name. That's until you're asked to profile the place, and to your surprise you don't know what the hell the word means. Thankfully you have thesaurus.com to tell you that Odeon actually is the Greek name for a theater. But there's nothing either ancient or Greek about this place.

Actually the forefather of the multiplex, Odeon has been able to maintain its status even with the multiplexes around. The Odeon complex originally contained Odeon 70, Odeon Deluxe and a sidey Mini Odeon, making it the first in the city to have three theaters in it.

As soon as you enter the hall, the flame red seats seduce you into placing your priceless bottom lovingly into their caring caress. This might be a little troublesome if there is somebody already sitting in them. So after having the satisfying feeling of belonging to the best looking empty seat in the city, you move to other areas.

The hall is very spacious, and the screen gives you that panoramic 70mm feel. And the sound system is top notch. The air conditioning works its best when the crowds are in full swing. Otherwise too it keeps you cool, but not constantly.

Clean premises, great audio-visual experience, comfort and a few smiles - all signs of watching a movie at Odeon. Thumbs-up ye Greek mama.
