An outlet for the Tommy Hilfiger prêt (which is basically a fancy-shmancy way of putting 'slightly affordable') lines, the store, surprisingly, opened without much fan-fare. No Karolina Kurkovas or Giselle Bundchens of the fashion world strutting their stuff on the opening night here. Darn!

Except for the local currency that still works, there is nothing even remotely Indian about this outlet. Once inside, you are on truly alien ground, one paneled by wood. American spirit is stamped all over the place - with the walls decorated with hip-hop and funky pictures taken from the American diversity, and the oddly displayed guitars.

The shop is segregated into 2 floors, the ground-floor catering to men and kids, and the first floor enticing the ladies. The store houses casual wear - Jeans, trousers, tops, T-shirts - for both men and women. Of course, it has watches, glasses, perfumes, shoes, caps and all the other accessories to go with it. There is also a Bed And Bath section for all your linen and tapestry needs, viz. towels, bed sheets, comforters, soap cases, robes, candles, potpourri packs and incenses. They all come with the quality that we have come to associate the designer brand with.

Being a niche store, it does offer you a gratifying shopping experience well-complemented by the most thermally suited environment for the human body south of the Himalayas. The range ain't that wide, but that is a compromise you make with any single-brand store. Besides, if you are shopping there it is the tag you are looking for more than anything else.
