This Chennai-based store has realized that the best strategy in the long run is to stick to the basics, without any hype and hoopla. And it does that with amazing panache. A small store in an area where flamboyance is the order of the day, Genesis sticks to its own brand of clothes? Basics. It's refreshing to see such an unassuming store that lets its quality speak for itself.

The store is well-designed, and makes for some eminently immersive shopping. The help are totally non-intrusive, and let you do your thing. They have the usual formal clothing ? shirts, trousers and a few other odds and ends, all neatly arranged. Apart from the usual stripes, checkes and plains, they have a wide variety of interesting and fresh designs that really make shopping here worth the effort. Even saw one full hands shirt in a batik print that I instantly fell in love with. The prices too are on the reasonable side, costing about Rs. 650 per shirt. Definitely affordable within any stretch of imagination.

The trouser collection is nothing to sneeze at either. They have a decent enough collection of formals, casuals, khakis and the likes. A small collection of silk ties rounds off the assortment fairly well, and you come away contended and happy.
