Chicken 65 Bandi

It does not get more basic than this. Chicken in all its red-hot charm, piled high in steel dishes and skewered along iron rods, all stacked precariously on a portable stall with wheels, and parked by one of the busiest roads in the city. No one comes here to admire the scenery after all - they come here for the food. And man, do they get their money's worth.

This bandi situated very close to Ramakrishna Theater, has no name, but all the discerning diners within a 5-mile radius know that this is where you'll find the best damn plate of Chicken 65 in town. For Rs. 26 you'll get two rumali rotis and a good-sized portion of fiery Chicken 65. If this is not a good deal, we don't know what is. The tandoori leg and chicken manchuria are also in serious demand.

There are lots of such little stalls scattered across town, but this is worth a mention because the food here is especially good. You can tell by the crowd that really starts to gather after 9pm. They're following their nose, and if you ever find yourself in the vicinity, you should, too. Once you've tried the C65 here, eating it in a restaurant with a fork will seem rather tame. Not to mention, completely unsatisfying.
