But with cinema halls mushrooming like crazy in this part of the city, they now find one at a stone's throw from their residence.

Amongst all the theaters in this area, Mahalakshmi 70mm can easily be rated as one of the best. Imposingly poised on the main road, the theater is very easy to locate. A wide expanse and adequate parking space form a decent first impression. Separate entry and exit for vehicles that spare a good amount of trouble for the visitors maintain the notion, and the interiors do nothing to mar this.

The anatomy of the place gives you no great shakes, but is decent enough to enjoy a good movie. Good leg-space, average ambience and mediocre quality food mark your visit to Mahalakshmi 70mm. The seating arrangement, with a fair number of love seats, leaves no reason to fret, either.

Peeking into the other primary aspects that make a good place to visit, the fair-priced canteen and washrooms are, surprisingly, maintained in a better way than you would expect for this locality. Yet, without more mothballs in the wash rooms, you would do well to hold it in situations of emergency.

The same applies if you are planning to catch a movie here with your beloved - you would do well to hold your imagination and look for another place. The crowd that frequents Mahalakshmi 70mm seldom consists of families and couples. Students bunking their colleges and localites known for their notoriety form a major part of the visiting crowd. Attempts to draw families by screening movies with a wholesome storyline haven't been very successful till date. Movies from the yo-yo land haven't been able to make a better impression, either. So near, yet so far.
