Sajawat

I forgot to ask the people at Sajawat when the shop was established, but from the layers of dust everywhere and the faded condition of the fabric, it would be safe to say that they've been around a long time.

I found nothing to recommend about the shop. They have curtain and sofa fabric - the latter being stored in the celler into which you have to descend, braving both the the spiral stairway and the darkness (they believe in turning the lights on only after your head has sunk beneath their view). I am afraid that I liked nothing except the rather few varieties of chiks that they have which cost about Rs. 350 per meter. They have some drapery rods on display, but can tell you the price only after they check with the agency that installs them.

Well, visit if you must, but don't say you weren't warned.
